What a great day, late start due to the rain. Nils myself and Lynette started to set up by 10.30 and in the air by 10.50, We flew/raced up to the 3 km sign and back. Viewing a squall approaching we landed and laid our gliders down and watched the rain pass from the Maggot mobile.
Within 25 min we where back in the air, some great flying was being had by two lone soldiers before Mark Doherty arrived and joined in. Not long after Bruce Wynne was airbourne and we all played in the sand pit. Nils clipped a wing tip while traveling slow, causing him to belly land - nice one. I managed to turtle my glider, unfortunately I didn't have my camera on today - just our luck, next time. Lots of racing up and down the the beach. We where even flying along the beach without a dune, turn and fly back along the flat sand. Sorry guys and girls but you missed out today ESE 12-22knots some moments of smooth air - the closer to the sand you flew the smoother the air became.
Lynette had a dozen hover/glides down to the beach and is looking good - she was not enjoying it as much today as the wind picked up by 5 knots plus the moment she hopped into her glider.
Biggest Dickest turned up and had a good fly in Bruces' glider. The direction was great all day. I was racing up and down the entire beach from just short of high rise buildings up to 4wd track and a lot of that was done on dunes no higher than 2 foot. Lynette did some filming so another video coming you way soon. We missed you all, hope to see you all next time.
