You have to love this sport / way of life . It was not an easy decision today on where I would fly -
Budgie, Long Reef and Wanda just for starters! I've been itching to fly Wanda since I returned to flying and today was that day. I set up and before I had even taken off three more Hangie cars arrived-Dean Robbie Mark and Jonny redbull .Robbie, Bill Moyes grandson, has taken to the air like those of his family before him; he has been signed off and with 10 hrs under his belt flew budgie a few weeks ago and today took to wanda like a natural. The conditions tested all... the wind was anything from e/se to e/ne, 14 to 18 knots. We all flew up the coast past the 4wheel drive sign and down to the wall and beyond. This was a day I will always remember. I have been flying a Moyes Malibu 188 and i love it - I can shoot along the sand between dunes and keep racing along the dunes with out loosing momentum and then hold it on the stall and reverse park! Where's the safety features? All it needs is reverse lights and a beep beep beep noise. Marty arrived a little latter closley followed by Bruce, Ritchy and Luke. Marty as always played on the edge, making it all look easy. El Presidente and Jonny gave me a good lesson in scratching - I tilt my hat to both of them... I thought I was good - I think they might be a little bit better! (bastards!!!) Footage of the day will be posted soon.
