Well how was everyones weekend?
Saturday was a little testing for most by the sound of it (too wet, not enough wind)
Myself and Ken spent a few hours at Wanda. I started the day removing sand from within the glider - I've been spending too much time on the beach upside down filling glider with balast.
The wind was switching around and light - 10 knots at most.
The wind was e/ne when I decided to try to fly the wall. I managed two down wind runs, getting just short of the wall. I walked the rest of the way and made my way up the side of the wall, over the fence and walked along to just short of main face. A quick run and push out, fly around the telegraph polls until I was above them. The air was bouyant, I managed to fly around for 20 min before flying back to main take off at Wanda. I packed up and called it a day before the rain returned and the wind went back to the sth
Sunday was a better day. Ken and I were first to set up and fly. The direction was great but it slowly swung to the sth and was light .Wayne and Nils were next to arrive, closely followed by Bruce. Some great height was to be had if you could manage to stay up for long enough. One by one we pealed of to the right and headed for the boneyard - everyone managed to arrive at the boneyard with plenty of height - Nils got higher than anyone else. We all flew the boneyard till it was no longer flyable (about 2pm) Lynette was doing short glides and loving it - it won't be long before she is soaring with us all
Everyone flew in testing conditions and thrived. Thanks for the great times guys.
How did you boys go on the nth side?
Looking good for frenchies tomorrow!

Sounds like you had a good day, How did you all go this weekend?

Dont talk to me about the wet! I have accepted my fate and am gearing up for lots of rain flying this winter,
It shouldn't be to bad with the right clothing. I went and bought a wind proof, waterproof "Rain set" (pants and Jacket) from the local work ware place today. Worth a try for $34. The hood fits nicely under the helmet, Ill use some gloves for the hands, all i need to sort out now are the right shoes?

Bruce needs to get one of these sets to match his glider!
